I also like the Procomp's more....definitely Polished Aluminum over Chrome too....I find them pretty easy to care for!
I think of all the options out there for OEM wheels.... I'd go with some Tundra Rims like COB or Tactical SR5 if I had a few more bucks to spend ...
I looked at a bunch of wheels, and after mucking around with spacers, brakes, the shakes and ball joints etc. I decided to stay with the stock Toyota 4Runner wheels, I had them powder coated and they look way better now than the after market wheels I had before with far better performance since they were engineered for my truck, no issues clearing the brakes or getting into alignment now. Light aluminum rims are hard to beat with regards to some of the steel wheels that are aftermarket. Powder coat to taste and they will be unique.

I like unpainted as well. I mean painted wheels look good depending on how you match them to the body color. But aluminum wheels look right with any paint color. I kinda wish I had never painted mine gunmetal. Oh well, gray Tacoma wheels are going on my truck soon

My tires and wheels
I like the way these look all black (pics I see from other post). I bought some American Outlaw Rangers and General Grabbers at2s 265-70-r16 got them installed at Discount tire. I like the way they look but I still have the stock wheels for my 02 T4R SR5 and I want to paint them black. Any suggestions on painting or keeping the Rangers? Does anyone like the way my wheels look with my colors. I thought the black and silver wheels went good but am u decided. :nicethread:

Question, what exact rims are these as we've been trying to find bullet whole rims that will fit the 4runner calipers as so many say they will but do not. Yet we see them on 3rd gen 4runners. I know the American Eagle 186's are no longer available as they went out of business in like 2017 or 2018. But people keep saying the Pro Comps will but that manufacturer says they won't, at least for a 16in wheel (RIM) size. We're ultimately trying to do a 16" x 8.5" (or 8"), 6 x 5.5 bolt pattern, and like a -12mm offset. These will have 32" or 33" tires, pending on what works. But we really love the polished aluminum bullet hole look and are struggling to find ones that will actually work without hitting the calipers or control arms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
