Big day for our '96

GiGi's 1996

New member
Feel like sharing the fact that our 1996 4Runner turned over to 100,000 miles today. :trophy:

She belonged to my husband's Grandmother (GiGi) and has had an easy life first in California and now she is with our family in AZ. She is completely stock and runs like a champ (I hope I do not jinx!). She is now my daily driver and splits time with my Jeep TJ.

She is getting alittle "bouncy" and we are going to give Sonoran Steel a call (they're right here in Tempe too!) when funds become available.

Just wanted to share with fellow 3rd gen lovers. I can imagine that you guys have tons more miles on your rides than ours.

Congrats, ours flipped 200K back in December. Lotta life left on yours.

Steve is really cool, definitely give him a call. Very knowledgable.

I'm saving up for system 1.2A myself.

Always up for wheeling, let me know when you go...:)

Thanks! Love your build thread. You make our desert look so inviting and awesome. If our kids didn't always have something going on during the few cool weekends we have left, we sure would love to explore with you.

Looks like a very nice Runner! We need to set up a date to go wheeling before it gets too hot.

So she actually only drove it to Church and back. lol At that rate, you could get another 30 years out of it!
:wow2:

When i was going to buy a 2003 Cadillac seville it was from a older lady who got groceries and went to church in it, it had 56k! But then I got a t4r

Lot a lots of life left and definitely a great truck.

Very nice to see low miles on a AZ 4Runner. 100k was five years ago for me and now I'm at 115k lets see in the end which AZ 4runner has the least miles. I do plan on getting 30 more years out of mine.

True. :D

Another 30 years out of it....ha ha. Well, maybe so, but not for me....I need to own a Rubicon JKU before I kick the bucket. For now, it is my daily driver and in another 5 years my son can drive it and in another 7 1/2 my daughter can drive it......hopefully that will be the case!

Nice reading about fellow AZ'ers. We are looking forward to moving back soon!!! Nice low miles, wish we had 100,000 on ours still!
