Bilstein 5100's for $329 shipped

I bought my a couple weeks ago from Down South for $319. Did you "make an offer" or just buy at their asking price? I offered $300 and his counter-offer was $319 which was still a price I couldn't refuse. They were nice to deal with as well.

Nah, I found the price quite reasonable and just took $329. That's as low as I'd seen them -- nice job shaving another $10 off that!

I never see the rears listed on ajusa when I go through the site...are they still back ordered or am I just not looking correctly?

Edit: I found the part number from the eBay listing and put it in ajusa's site, I guess theyre considered an fj cruiser part because it says they wont fit my 4runner but when I put in that I have an 07 fj cruiser they come right up. Weird because most sites list suspensions from 07-09 fj's as 4runner compatible wonder why they dont.

But when I put in 07 4runner they also come up...but earlier years supposedly wont fit, hmm.

07-09 fj's are the same and will fit no prob with the 4th gen 4r..
 
Im curious to know if the RCD bilsteins they sell are valved differently or something. They have a different part # from the original bilsteins..

Well, I don't have any experience with anything else, but they ride great. A little firmer than stock, but still very comfortable. Paired with FJ springs I've been extremely pleased.
 
for what its worth, ive heard that bilstein makes the valving a bit softer per RCD (RACE CAR DYNAMICS) spec. found this during search, pulled off taco forum. scroll down & read what DSM1 says.

For the Tacoma, RCD actually holds the patent on the 5100s. So Bilstein makes the units to RCD’s specifications but doesn’t sell them direct.

Hmm..guess that clears that one up a tad. I'd prob get mine from ajusa. I doubt the valving is much different but I'd like mine more truck like than soft..
 
Looking to buy some Bilstien 5100 adjustable for the front....What is the correct part #. I have a 05 Limited.
