Bilstein 5100's just came in the mail. Need your help please.

Has anyone done a write up on the XREAS to Bilstein swap. I searched for 45 min only to get distracted 10-15 times and saw JA's website but nothing else. Please send me some links.

Your going to need a spring compressor.

Rear shock install is easy peasy... Just make sure not to over tighten the bushings.

Fronts can be installed using the no spring compressor method here.

Can of PB spray and mallet are your friends if you don't have any power tools.

As far as XREAS goes, just unhook the lines and throw them away. The small amount of fluid that comes out can be cleaned up with oil-dry or similar product. 10 second job. Mine is now in the garbage can where it belongs.

Thanks to all those that replied. Bilstein 5100 with stock sport springs. Done!

Took 4 hours.

XREAS: WORST DESIGN EVER, 2 shocks were leaking @ 65K miles and it was pretty much a JAW chattering, coin in the cup holder rattling ride.

Bilsteins are AMAZING. I cannot believe I've been driving with that crap [XREAS] all this time.

Same road I take on my commute to work everyday seems to have just gotten a lot softer.

Was able to do the entire job with just removing the front under-body armor and sway bar. Didn't have to touch the ball joints.
