Terrible Experience with Total Automotive Performance

Will try to keep this simple but may be rather lengthy.

11/17/16 - Emailed TAP requesting if there would be special Black Friday pricing on SPC UCA's. Their reply was yes, $380 that they could start today.

11/23/16 - I called to order SPC UCA's at $380 per email and a set of Bilstein 5100's. Richard answered and stated he could not find that price and wasn't able to find out who sent me the email stating the price of $380. He then stated he could offer T4R price of $420. After a few back and forth conversations he finally informed me that he could provide the $380 due to a very large monetary order (initiated by us) between another member on here and one from Tacoma world. Yes they honored the price, but not because of an error on their part.
I also ordered a set of Bilstein 5100's for $348, with the rears being on backorder, and received an invoice totaling $728 ($348 Bilsteins + $380 SPC's).
Richard then asked if he could ship all together once the rear Bilsteins arrived. I agreed to this.

12/22/16 - I saw a thread on here that a few members were discussing that TAP had the rears in stock, so I emailed and requested a status update on my order.
Richard calls and informs me that they do have the rears in stock but unfortunately the fronts are now on backorder. REALLY!!!!!!!!! So, they do not hold parts that have been ordered. I then informed him to ship me the SPC's and the rear Bilsteins as I did not want to get in this flip flop game of one of the pairs being constantly on backorder. He agreed to ship and charged me $180 for the rears. I asked if the total price would total $348 as quoted in original invoice/order that I receive via email. He did not hesitate and said YES.

12/30/16 - Viewed TAP website and added front Bilstein 5100's to cart and saw no "back order status" as they had with the rears. Requested status update on fronts via email and received NO REPLY.

1/19/17 - I saw the posts above stating on 1/10/17 and 1/13/17 that they had the fronts in stock. Emailed requesting status update.

1/20/17 - Richard calls and says they do have them in stock and he would like my billing information so he can process and ship. He then gave me a quote of $245. I informed him that they should be $168 due to the difference of the charge of $180 rears + $168 fronts = $348 (original quote). He said he would look in to it and call me back. Several hours later, I receive a call back stating that the best he could do is their cost of $200. WHAT!!!!!! I voiced my displeasure with their customer service and lack of communication and he said "you are wrong here in stating no one contacted you during this process, you were on a wait list and we had not got to contacting you". Are you frickin kidding me??? I ordered these on 11/23/16 and you are posting on here that you have them in stock on 1/10 and 1/13. I requested an update on 1/19 and you call on 1/20. I highly doubt you were gonna call when you (TAP) never did during the entire process when back order stock was in. I found that information on this wonderful forum.
2 months later I hope to have all my parts on 1/25/17 per tracking status.

Sorry to make this so long, but I will never do business with them again to save a few dollars. I will use [MENTION=87036]YotaDan[/MENTION] and [MENTION=44448]ToyTec Lifts[/MENTION] again as they both have provided excellent customer service. Yes I only paid $32 more total for the parts, but the whole process was terrible. Over promise and under deliver. There are two sides to every story, but as [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION] stated in another thread about Total Automotive Performance, keep all emails, etc, and I have them. I get that the Bilsteins are frequently on backorder and was content to wait, but hey received them and no one informed me and/or simply forgot my order.

We have fixed the Promo Code "T4R" is back to normal and providing additional savings on most brands. Bilstein had a price change that thru our discounts off.

Depending on what you are looking for, "T4R" will provide added savings for members on most brands.

Bilstein 5100 complete kits are already discounted for forum members.

"T4R" will get you added savings on 6112's and 5160's.
