Bilsteins!?!?

hey im throwing on an OME lift with 3"standard weight coils in front and back. im rockin the comfort shocks in the front,BUT in the back i want to go with some BILSTEINS for a rake look and more flexibility

should i go with Bilstein 5125 OR 5150 reservoir shocks????

which gives me more lift with my setup? what rides better?:hungry::fishing::hatsoff:

5150 IMO
I have them and I think I'm right at 3" or above.

Shocks have nothing to do with lift in the rear. Thats on the coils.

5150 will ride better than the 5125, but cost $100 more also. So weigh the costs and make a decision.

btw I have 5125 in the rear with LC 8 wraps and I love them.

I have 5125's matched with ome 891's and it rides great. The flex is awesome as well as the ride. If I had the money though then I would get the 5150s but like said before me, it's about how much you're wanting to spend.

here's a bunch of links to threads that have a ton of info on LC coils. FYI many have gotten theirs from Rocki Top Auto - Home or you could order brand new ones from Toyota Parts Zone - Genuine OEM Toyota Parts and Accessories go by the color codes in the color code thread I think the front coils off of a 93' FJZ80 are the ones to look for, but just ask the seller what the color codes on the springs are. Hope that helps...

^^^ couldnt have said it better myself, foyaboya. I got my coils from duhockey, he has a connection with rocky top auto, so he is always selling sets in the classified section.

Btw i am looking to swap my 8 wraps for 7-7.5 wraps here soon. Would you be interested?

Not really, the rear sags under weight based on the coil stiffness. The Old Man Emu coils (891 or 891 i think) do better with wieght as they are made to withstand more weight. The LC's are thinner and therefore absorb and flex better/more. If you want the rear to not sag with the LC 8 wraps try installing an airlift 1000. I have the airlift now, and plan to install them with the LC's when i get them. THe airlift comes with 4 inch pucks to use if needed. thanks man i was just toying around with the idea of doing a rake look but i play a lot of hockey and do a lot of trailer stuff so i think im going with OME because of the lack of sag under weight
