I'd rather be seen driving a moped.

Its pocket size lol...Not the best looking LC but not the worst either. It's so small you could probably take it just about anywhere.

It is badass! 3 buddies in my offroad club have one. These are some links to us doing some offroading with pics and videos.
It is actually not that small. It only looks that way because it only has 2 passenger doors. And unlike a samurai....like someone mentioned, it is real heavy duty and extremely heavy for the size and is basically a tractor, and slow slow slow.
The BJ70 is only available in certain parts of the world. Probalby only about 200 were ever imported into Canada. Not sure how many, and if any came into the US via the dealership network.
In the mining industry, these trucks are very popular. They get special permits to import these trucks into Canada, and are not licenenced to drive on the street, except if you have one of those rare 200 from 1986 or so.
A test was conducted in Canadian mines. A company that outfits trucks for mining outfitted several trucks in a similar way and were put through the rigors of mining work. Withing a year both Chevy and Dodge trucks died, and Ford went a full year. The BJ70 lasts about 10 years in comparison.
This company does also sell the other trucks. So it wasn't just to promote their BJ70 retrofits, but a higher price tag is attached to it.

It does do great offroad. The guys I know that have one just have an OME suspension for it, and 34" tires. It's just a very robust vehicle with a solid axle front. But I'd say what makes it really good is that they've got 2 ARB air lockers.

It doesn't do MUD too good though. Very heavy and very slow. But that's why they've got winches:D

BJ stand for the engine type, B series is a diesel engine. BJ and HJ are both diesel engine types. i really like the rear hatch doors, much better design than our 3rd gen hatch i think. good old fashion toyota solid axle, with gear driven transfercase. i would take this truck over my truck for a wheeler anyday.
