I'm not trying to stir the pot on this just a question why ? His sticky would seem to be a must for all gens. no ? So why just n Gen . Discussion , we seem to get these endless posts even after his sticky then gets filed away in Gen. Great respect for admin & all mods hell I have a hard enough time just searching most times so great job by them . Curious is all Mike n the LV

Thank you Matt I'm so used to txting my 16 yr old son (won't answer telephone) I forget everybody else DOESN'T , so thanks for translation . And question still stands .
 
Glad to help Mike! If you search for the topic it looks like it got moved around from gen to gen and finally put in the new members section.

Guess they're hoping new members will see it there first
 
And yet we still get these noise posts ! I know I learned the hard way search they say , and I did , no biggie and learned a ton . Anything that helps people use this site better well less clutter !
 
I think every section should have a sort of "helpful guidelines" for people to look through since many people tend to just go straight to their Generation section of the forum. Either way, I put my trust in the decision of the moderators. I am sure they had a good reason for it, I'm not a mod so I wouldn't know what their secret meetings are like! :P

Where is this sticky? Looked in Gen and didn't see it.

Edit: found it above in new members, going to post in it as I am having a ***** of a time with a clunk

Reason why I asked is most people go to their Gen. & post their question about their particular noise & or trouble , just seemed like no brainer to me ? I think most say hi I joined , then go right off posting in their Gen. not even seeing it .

Its meant to give you a guideline to make a very informative first post regarding your noise issue. You don't have to post there if you have a noise complaint on your 4th gen.

And why I think it should be on all Gens. But I guess that would cut down on similar or like posts ? :humble::whip:
 
I see where you're going, but it seems like there are starting to be too many stickies now... Half the first page is stickies, although I have to admit this would be a better sticky than the 3 year old "how to fit a tacoma skid plate" thread.

Could combine FJ springs & Ark's suspension sticky like they did in audio & performance sect. Just trying to make things run smoother !!

Hence why I was looking for compiling it into a sort of General Guidelines Sticky that could be posted in each Generation Sub-Forum. I'm all up for cleaning things up. :) Hell even my Toolbox Sticky could be useful for all the other sub-forums also.
 
Love that word "hence" , that's all I'm saying ! How many times have people said stuff someone posted a cpl posts earlier , your stickies are very helpful to newbies & hell more times than not ME .
