Blown head gasket. Thoughts?

Advertise for $1500 with blown HG and be prepared for lowballs down to $800 or so, unless the truck is super clean otherwise. More money in parting out, but without tools or space, not really an option.

So all quotes I have gotten are over $1200 and not having a garage anymore or my tools which are in storage I won't be doing myself. So in your opinions what is a decent price to ask for the vehicle as is with the blown gasket?

If that's with parts, it doesn't seem terrible. Did you get a list of parts? Usually you will need headbolts to go with the gasket at a minimum.

The part that sucks is investing $1200 to sell the vehicle for $3000-4000. I had a headgasket go on my 94 camry. It was in good shape (220K). I had a mechanic buy it for $1000 as is from me. The car was only worth about $2500 at the time (seem their value has increased since selling it), so it made sense to just ditch it and get some cash, vs putting more into it.

All, doesn't OP also have some risk to the bottom end if he was overheating, or only the top end? Or is it a case by case issue?

An overheat doesn't automatically mean the rotating assembly is toast. If it was badly overheated there's definitely potential for trouble. My brother somehow managed to overheat my first 4Runner so badly that the crankshaft bent, but that's on the extreme end of things. He can correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't sound like the OP has to worry about that here.
