Bluetooth Upgrade Possible in 2008?

I have a 2008 4R Limited with the stock Nav and audio system. It supports wireless Bluetooth for phone calls, but not for playing music from the iPhone.

There is a stereo plug in the compartment between the front seats, but is there any way to upgrade or install some nice device to allow the audio system to play music directly using BT?

The easiest way is to get an aftermarket head unit that supports it, I have one in both my cars, and they work great

I just purchased a 2008 Limited with stock navi as well and was bummed to find there is no means of playing any music short of CDs and Radio. The GTA kit Chaz posted is what I kept coming back to but I'm just wondering if anyone has tried them before I tear apart my new baby :)

i think you can make your own for about 10 bucks and it just plugs in factory aux, also need power off a usb charger to run it.

This is a simple way to play through the factory aux input. It would be the same as playing from your earphone output on your phone to the aux input, but using bluetooth instead of a wire - i.e. it is an audio connection only and you will need to control the music through your phone.

My phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) allows multiple bluetooth connections, so I have bluetooth connection to the car radio for calls and Bluetooth connection to the adaptor for audio/music.
