Hey guys weird problem I have going on. I'll lay out the time Frame.
I have a 97' SR5 3.4L. I changed my oil and flushed the radiator on 10/29/11 and have been driving it around normal. Yes its my daily driver I have about 123,xxx on her... On Sunday 11/13/11 I did the deck plate mod and loved it, was gonna do the isr mod but ran out of time.
So today 11/15/11 literally about an hour ago I picked up a k&n filter and thought, "this is awesome" I get it up to 4,000 rpm and it started bogging at first i thought there was a crotch rocket next to me, And thought wtf. I didnt want to hit the guy. But no crotch rocket just my 4runner so i started getting some speed and again!!! This time I looked down and saw exatly where i was 4000rpm again I tried and again same noise same rpm... I pulled over and put the old filter in. Still the same problem. Put the deckplate cover on and still the same. Got home and put it in neutral and reved it up same problem.
Anyone have any idea what it is? Could it be my Head Gaskets gone? If anyone knows, the knowledge would be GREATLY appreciated thanks guy.
