I think it all depends on the person who started the thread. I know there's a lot of people who don't like stuff not related to their builds to clutter it up. I can understand that. However, my "build" thread is like you described. It's 10% build, 90% bulls*t. Thus why I moved my response here.

This is true. It's person dependent for sure. I think most of us are in the BS side with our threads though. I can't really think of anyone's thread that I frequent who is opposed to off-topic. That's probably why I frequent certain threads though. Like minds and all. lol

Been good. Only gym climbing as of late. Cold and wet on this side of the mountains. Cold and snowy on the other. Just got back from a surf vacay in Mexico. Hopefully that will tie me over until the spring hits. You? How are the winter projects coming along?

Some updated pics. Added a set of PIAA 540 driving ions and a set of PIAA Fogs.

Wired one set to the factory fog swith and bought another switch for the 2nd set.

I'm so glad I came across this. I asked this question is a few PIAA threads & didn't get a response. How hard is it to wire the PIAA's to the factory fog light switch? Is it as simple as cutting off the PIAA switch, crimping on 2 terminals & connecting to the factory switch? I dont need the 3rd PIAA wire do I? That's only if I want to connect it to the factory wiring system right?

For my method, super easy. I just ditched the PIAA relay and clipped the wires right at the lights and spliced them. Figured if there was an issue with not using the PIAA relay, it would pop up. Hasn't been an issue yet.

Been droppin' likes and sarcastic comments since 2010! Been here for this long and never noticed the rating system. Lol. Not sure mine would fall into that category. I'm not detailed in any of my write-ups or doing anything too original with my build. Clean and simple has always been my aim.

Winter projects are going as well as I can expect. I pulled down three minor injuries in the last two months so that kind of set me back a bit. Slight pull of the A2 tendon, fully healed. Strained my Supraspinatus muscle, mostly healed. Then last weak I tweaked my wrist. lol

Other than that things are going well. I toned it down a bit and just started adding problems to my circuit. Once the shoulder and wrist are 100% I'll get back into the harder stuff. The seasons been fun though even with the little injuries.

I had to Google Supraspinatus. Bummer to hear about the injures, but glad to hear you're on the path to recovery. I think that is my main project for this spring. To make it through to summer with no major injuries.

Yep! That was my bright idea. Many people think it was to help protect the signal lights. It was actually purely an aesthetic addition. My signals are pretty safe in mall parking lots.

Small update. It's definitely been a while since I've done anything to my rig. Been happy with it where it's at and just been enjoying it. I will admit that I had a bit of a panic somewhat recently and almost sold it for something newer. Thankfully had some local guys talk me off the ledge.

But even more recently the nav on my head unit has frozen. Not the biggest deal as all of the other features work just fine, but enough of a deal for me to take the excuse to upgrade head units. Went with a Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX. First impressions are really good outside of the fact that the only way to update the maps are via one of the USB ports in the rear and not via the SD card slot (Which you can use to update the system firmware) behind the screen. I'm sure there's a good reason why that is, but either way a pain.
