I went up left hand once, do not know what the trail was, we were more into fishing that day, it wasn't to bad so I assume it was not the same trail you took.

Have you done Bill Moore yet? That is a pretty good one, I am pretty cautious with mine as well but it was still fun and no real danger of hurting my girl.

The trail up to Five Points really wasn't bad at all, it was more driving on a super bumpy dirt road with rocks in it. But Fireman's hill was a B itch. =O

Slaughterhouse and Yankee Hill are also trails that arer stock 4Runner friendly and good trails to learn teh basics on.

I'll be doing Slaughterhouse later this month to try out my sliders.

Maybe we can do a T4R.org at one of those since they are also easy to get to.

I was planning on hitting some trails this weekend, but looks like this storm has cancelled those plans, unless anybody has some suggestions....

Both Yankee and Slaughter are perfectly fine for any stock 4Runner so sliders aren't needed as some of the harder parts have bypasses.

Thanks, good to know as I would like to go wheelin but the 4Runner is also my daily driver, don't want to screw it up.

I was in South Park (more specifically, Spinney Mtn. Res.) yesterday, and the weather was pretty nice till about 2:30. After that, it cooled down and got windy. No precip though.

I was surprised how much of the snow had already melted up there.

Myself or (usually) my wife DD my 4runner, so I don't want to screw it up either. The vast majority of the trails here don't require sliders. A lot of the time there is an easier way around the obstacle (vs. over it).
