Boulder Mechanic Suggestion

I am looking for suggestions for an indy mechanic in Boulder. Did not find anything with a search. A search on YotaTech resulted in older posts.

2003 post: OK but not fantastic: Chan’s, Import Specialists, HonToy, 28th St, Independent Motors, and avoid John’s 4x4

Charlie's website looked good. Does anyone have any recent experience or recommendations? Many thanks!

I have a good mechanic named John who works as a full time mechanic (and is licesed) at some local garager in Boulder but also does stuff on the side. He currenty does not have a garage at his home but if you have one you are all set, he has his own tools and is good, fast & cheap. I think he likes to charge $40 /hour for stuff on the side. He is a good guy with a family and needs extra cash. I dont want to post his # on the website without his permission but you can email me for it.

I fly radio controlled airplanes with Charlie Miller, the owner of Charlie's Garage, and he's a really good guy. I've never actually had any work done by his garage, but I've heard good things from people who have. Haven't needed any major work done on my 4Runner yet, but will think seriously about going there when I do.

I never met Charlie, but I drive by his shop almost daily and I hear he is a good guy also. I just cant afford to pay retail for mechanic work these days. . .
