brake issue, pads?

2008 limited brakes. very powerful but touchy :( maybe pads are too grabby initial pedal application is overkill and must reduce pressure slightly to execute a smooth stop. Seems like it's too easy too apply TOO MUCH stopping power and I suspect pads. As I approach the stop point I have to ease up on the pedal pressure or the brakes act like they are self energizing and will increase stopping effort. So what pads would be better than CARX QS ceramic - what I see in the orig owners records. Maybe ceramics have too much grab ?

Sounds like its maybe the brake booster. They are electric on our vehicles and some people complain of symptoms like that. Just adjust your driving to adapt.

If you really think its the pads, then you could try the Powerstop pads, or a step up are the Akebono. I run the ACT from them and they are great.

pretty sure mine does this. its the opposite of what my honda does (surges as i come to a stop bc of downshift retardness)

i have to adjust how to drive for each vehicle. you will probably have to do the same.
