Brake Job - Calipers - Thread Locker / Loctite?

I've watched two brake job videos so far and both people used a thread locker or loctite on the two large caliper bolts...

I was just planning on torquing those bolts to spec using a good quality torque wrench...

Do I need thread locker or an I good to go with just a torque wrench?

I have no idea why they are applying thread locker, I don't think I have ever seen those things get loose when properly torqued... hell the factory usually only calls for 50~80ftlbs. depending on the vehicle.

I've heard of anti-seize on those. The caliper can get hot.

I love loctite but I've never put it on caliper bolts, usually antiseize if anything and torque to spec. I have heard of them backing out so maybe that's why people are cautious but properly tightened I've never had one come loose.

I use a dab of blue locktite on the 2 caliper bracket mounting bolts but anti-seize on the 2 caliper bolts themselves.

And while I'm at it, 3M silicone on the slide pins and Permatex Extreme (purple stuff) on metal to metal contact points.

Lots of different lube for a brake job.
