Brakes...worth the Tundra upgrade?

Yes , you can run those Tacoma wheels but be aware that they have a 5.25" backspaceing . Stock 4runner wheels are 4.62 .The overall track width will be 1.25 narrower with the Tacoma wheels .

Not familiar with that term back spacing. Also, no junkyards near me have tacoma or tundra or even 4runner aside from early 3rd gen

I did think of the one wheel but don't know where to get one. One guy has the snowflakes selling 80 each. So 125 for 4 is a no brainer

Oh ok so the rig's center to center tire measurement will be a bit narrower. Is that going to affect steering or ride quality or something?

If you're stock height ( no lift ) you probably won't even notice a difference but its not a good idea with a lift. :roll:

alright well after some thought I'm saying no to the snowflakes. One person is messaged said it worked fine for him. But many other reports indicate you need spacers to not rub the UCA. I don't want to spend 125 on these then another 200 or so on spacers. So I'm saying no. I'll try to find a spare that'll work like a random flower or another 5 star wheel. Or an old taco wheel. Those had the same backspacing.

Uhh... not unless you have aftermarket parts on there. I have those wheels and have no rubbing or issues with the Tundra brakes. It's on the list of wheels confirmed to fit:

I have seen these wheels on multiple 4Runners. In fact, I pulled these wheels off another 4Runner. If you want them, they will fit just fine. Tacomas and 4Runners are very similar in terms of suspension and brake parts, some are interchangable.

I lucked out and found a guy who had 1 brand new Flower 5 spoke wheel on CL. He bought it for the spare for the TBU before his 4runner got totalled. 75 bucks for a new spare wheel. I'll paint my 5 spokes and never worry about this again.
