Bridgestone Alenza Plus

Have a '10 Limited 4wd , no lift , no spacers , all stock with about 45,000 mi's on it . A few weeks back had a set of Bridgestone Alenza Plus in 275/55-20 mounted up to replace the OEM 684 ll's. The 684 ll's are a pretty good tire . One of the most quiet & best riding tires I've had on a truck or suv. Had a couple sets on the Tundra. Very good dry & wet performance , mot so great in the snow especially after about 40,000 mi. Those tires performed better in the snow on my 2wd Tundra than on the 4Runner , can't figure that one out. So am loving the Alenza's. As everyone else has said , the 275/55 looks and drives so much better than the 245/60's. No rubbing , I have the factory Limited mud guards installed.
As also mentioned, the 275 also helps cure the constant freeway steering nervousness , not totally but much better. Door sticker for the 245's says 32lb FR&RR witch is what I ran and had perfect tire wear. Have played around with pressures on the 275's a bit . Ended up with 36FR-32RR. So far tread face is wearing even FR&RR. I'll keep an eye on this with a depth gauge & make sure no unusual cupping appears . These tires weigh 45lbs ea compared to 35lbs ea for the 684 ll's. Highway mileage is down maybe 1 mpg if that, around town seems to be down a little more than that. Overall am extremely happy with the new shoes!!

I put 265/70/17 Bridgestone Alenza Plus on our 2013 Trail last November and found a similar decrease in fuel mileage. I was surprised about the fuel mileage loss as they are advertised as 'eco'. They handle well in the rain/snow, are quiet, and if they last anywhere near the 80,000 mile warranty I'll be happy.

I struggled with the urge to get some meaty all terrain tires, but in reality my wife drives the 4runner daily and our off road excursions are camping trips.

As discussed here a lot, get an alignment and specify the caster out as far towards 4* as possible while keeping other specs. It will work wonders! But ask for before/after printouts.
