Broken Swaybar bolts or weldnuts - Solution

I've seen a couple solutions for the issue where the swaybar bracket bolts will just spin inside the frame. This is caused by the weldnuts breaking free from the frame. I used a sawzall to cut the bolts and then removed the other half thru an opening in the frame.

broken swaybar bolts/weldnuts

Happened to me this summer, one fastener on my '03 swaybar was a stud w/weldnut inside frame and it would just spin. I cut the stud off w/cutoff wheel ran a tap through the hole that would just fit so it grabbed a little and then got a grade8 bolt, cut the hex off put a gob of JB Weld on the threads that thread into the hole in frame, let it cure and nut/lock washer bracket back in place.
Been about 2 months and so far so good.

I’ve had my eye on doing this for a while now. Had one nutweld break free on one side and sheared the boot in half on the other side so I’ve got to do both passenger and driver. Thank you for this! Really appreciate it.

How did yours turn out?
I have one of the bolts sheared off inside the frame. The nut, I assume is fine, but it would loosen and sheared off the bolt flush with the frame. I've tried drilling it out but no luck....hard as a diamond.
