Brush guards and light bar mounting

I have been searching for a brush guard that will fit my 2nd gen without any success. Can anyone point me in the direction where I can find one?

Also, what about LED light bar mounting brackets? I found some from a company called Slag Factory, but they want a pretty penny for a set (like $150). Does anyone know where I can find these items?

I made my own LED light bar brackets, took about an hour with minimal tools

Brush guards are damage multipliers. Doubt you will find a new one, these trucks have been out of production for 22+ years.

Get an extra roof rack crossbar and mount your light to that.

As a moderator i receive emails when somebody reports a post, even if they misread it. You were the one that complained, not him. Sorry you are so thin skinned.

@mono.75 Your the one that brought it public and started the name calling "Francis". I reached out to him in private and worked it out like an adult. So who ever has made you a moderator needs to reconsider their choice. In fact I would like to know who I can talk to about the way you've handled this!

lol if you think this is rough, should check out pirate4x4 haha. Anyways back on topic. I got nothing for brushguards, but I used some Chevy light mounts for mines.

I think I am going to try and fab my own. Shelling out $150 for a set of stupid light bar brackets seems insane. Did you just bend a piece of steel in a vise? What advise can you lend a guy getting into this project? And also where did you score that guard? That's exactly what I'm looking for

[MENTION=100733]sam24th[/MENTION] nice rig man! I've wondered if the Chevy brackets would work for a while now. Did you have alter them at all or just bolt right into the pillar? And i know it's already been asked (example in previous posts in this thread lol) but do you get bad glare when the light is on with it mounted far up? And what size bar is that and how many watts?

I got the brackets off amazon. I think they were around 30 bucks. I didnt modify the brackets at all. Just drilled and mounted them per the instructions. There are some nutserts that come with it that need to be installed. The bar itself is a 42inch curved light bar. I cant remember the wattage though. I dont get much glare, but my hood center is blacked out.

I think I'll be trying the Chevy mounts then even though i have a 2nd gen. Just cross my fingers and hope it works! I wanted to go 50" on the bar so should i order the brackets for 50" ? When you got em did you grab them for 42"?

Definitely! I'll be ordering them this Friday. I figure I'll get the brackets first and install them. Afterward I'll measure the gap with them installed (if they're successful) and use that measurement to gauge what size light bar i should buy.
 
I actually ordered the brackets and a 42" bar yesterday right after my post. Should be arriving Friday, and I'll install this weekend. I'll be sure to let you know how it pans out for me
