Bucket list camping trip throughout colorado (pics)

Insane cost of living, lack of jobs in most well paying industries, outside of Denver, but Denver sucks, terrible political climate. Lot of other reasons that I wrote, re-wrote, and thought better of posting.

Someone from Fuita might say that. But in reality to the rest of the world, that's insane. Housing is high in Denver, cost of living overall in Colorado, no way. Denver sucks? Tell that to the rest of the country moving here, it's the melting pot of the midwest/west. Denver is one of the best cities in the country and no I'm not a native. If you like living in Fuita maybe, but that explains a lot. If you don't like cities, then yes of course you can't compare with a nothing town like Fuita. Lack of jobs???? A lot of people make a great living IN and Outside of Denver and play in the mountains every weekend. No good paying jobs?? Why the population influx over the last 15 years then? And political climate? Seriously? It's a purple state, so..

That could be the worst description of Denver and CO I've ever heard, no joke...

Not from Fruita, from Atlanta. Yes, there are plenty of jobs in/around Denver, not so much the rest of the state, other than oil field work. Denver sucks compared to the rest of the state, west of Denver and not counting rez land, anyway.

There are plenty of very good paying jobs in tourist towns, Breck, Vail, Silverthorne, etc. and all over the mountains of CO. It's called the service and tourism industry. Give me another example of a state with very good paying jobs other than their big cities that differs? If Denver sucks compared to the rest of the state, then yes, you don't like cities, which would also be the same in most states. Colorado/Denver is one of the best states/cities anyone could live overall. I've lived in a few and visit many. It's very well balanced, and the reason we didn't suffer as much as the rest of the country when the economy collapsed. Blue/white collar 50/50.. Politics as even as you'll get.

Stayed in Atlanta for a week last fall, I'd take Denver and a pay cut without blinking..

Last dollar road was the name of the trail. It was towards the end which ends just outside the telluride strip. Trailhead N 38* 05.99' W 107* 54.75'
The overlook in the photo is N 37* 59.01' W 107* 57.00'

Thanks Dan! I am loving the rack, put it to use hours after picking it up. We enjoyed that sunset while sitting on top the rack on the side of the road. The rack was an excellent excuse to venture out to your area. Which was, our favorite area in the state. Take care, and thanks again!

This sounds like a great idea - maybe setup a camping trip that includes, trails, hiking and white river rafting!!

Just did a 3-day river rafting trip on the Arkansas river this year, was awesome!

Having lived in Chicagoland my whole life and in Chicago for a short time, I can say with confidence, ANYWHERE is an upgrade from here IMHO.

I agree completely. I haven't missed Chicago for a minute.
