Buckles' 2006 Build

Well I figured it was time to start one of these since everyone else seems to be doing it.

Here is my canvas.

2006 SR5 V6. I purchased it in July of last year with about 70k miles on it. With the exception of a door ding here and there and one very small stain under the back seat, it was pretty much flawless.

Here are the pics from the day I bought it.

Since the purchase I have added the following:

WeatherTech Floor Mats
Receiver Hitch
New Tires
Window Tint

Will update with more pics as soon as I get some.

New head unit, HIDs, and LEDs should be here by next weekend

Ok it's been a while since I posted so I should probably update this.

Since my first post I installed my Scion T1819.

Got a Rola vortex basket.

I didn't like how it sat so high up and I was not going to pay $70 for custom mounts so I decided to make my own. Pics to follow.

Added a Texas sticker for 100hp

I will have some more pics tomorrow with more recent updates.

Coming soon are Texas Edition Tacoma badges and wheels, and a Gobi ladder.

As promised here are some more recent pics.

This is after the daystar install.

Truck rides great, in fact it feels smoother than before the lift.

These are the Texas Edition Tacoma badges. The process of removing the Sr5 badges was fairly easy but tedious. Getting the old adhesive off was the worst part. I bought three of these at my local dealership. One for each door, and another for the rear. I still need to put the rear one on.

As I mentioned before, I did not like the factory rola mounts and the custom ones are too expensive so I decided to fab my own. It sits about 3/4" off the roof now. Less wind noise and looks a lot better.

Factory headlights were also getting hazy and one was broken in several places from the previous owner hitting a mail box. I decided to go with sport edition lights this time as they are darker.

Also hit 93,000 miles today

Looking good. Which hitch did you installed ? Mine didn't come with one so was thinking about one in the future , one that doesn't require cutting the rear bumper.

It's a Curt. I picked it up at a local trailer shop for like $125. Didn't require cutting but you do have to remove your rear tow hook. Wasn't a problem for me since I have the shackle

Just ordered some new door speakers for the front and rear. They should be here later this week. Hopefully have them in by next weekend.
