Build Up continues

Well the build up continues with rear springs now fitted and new wheels and tyres ready to go. I know this is probably boring the @#!$ out of you guys, but I'm just trying to document what i hope will be a build up of a stock standard 4 Runner into a fairly custom looking 4 Runner.... Most of it inspired by this forum. Some of the stuff is a great read and it's always good to find out what other people have done. cheers.. Before and after shots attached below...

Current "mods" since this shot:
Remove stickers
Fit New rear springs
Replace front Bumper Bar
New Wheels and Tyres

Your 4runner is in great condition! The paint looks awesome and it looks very well kep for a classic. Is that all original parts and paint, etc?

I see you painted the chrome black, what paint did you use?

Howdy, yes the paint is original, and all parts original (well except for the wheels and the front bar now)... sadly there is some whicked hail damage on the roof and a cracker of a ding in the rear pillar (which you can just see in the photos at the back)...

It's a 2 door sport model of which there weren't many sold in australia and it's the same spec as an SR5.

I know the history of the car and it's been well looked after. It's a 1989 model and only done 150,000 KMs (or about 93,000 miles) so it hasn't had a hard life

Which bit do you mean I painted black... I will be painting the front bar Metalic Grey, but haven't done it yet? Or do you mean the rear bar? Coz that is an original bar that was already black (or dark grey actually)

where do you plan to go with this 4Runner? What purpose is she going to have when its all said and done? A Rock Crawler, or a day to day driver, or somewher ein between?

essentially it's a work vehicle that doubles as a play truck on weekends. At the moment it's only done light beach work towing a camper trailer. But I'd like it to be able to handle some reasonably serious off road expeditions, but probably not serious rock crawling. Everything is a compromise, so I'm trying to find the right 'All terrain' package..
