Bumbera HP, Katy, Texas. My experience.

Alright first off I want to say that these guys did great work, so don't get me wrong but they have a nice place to sit and great people to...well help you get screwed. I took in my 4runner to get it alighned and put the muffler on and not really expecting a bill over 200 bucks I get a call the next day which was yesterday, and the guy said that the total was $675! I've never heard of that! Yeah I had them torque down two shocks and remove my old bumper which only had three stripped bolts in them. But seriously $400 to install a single in duke out dumped right before the axle would have been able to get done at Katy exhaust pros for $75 straight. So with all lessons learned, don't take your car to Bumbera for things that are that simple. They will buckle and dime the S*** out of you. I have made it a priority to buy a tap and dye set as well as the stripped bolt sets...thank you for your time. Live and let live right?

Sorry man, but it sounds like you didn't get a price quote before agreeing to have the work performed. I am in auto service and I never perform work on a customers vehicle unless they know what they are getting into beforehand. I always give an estimate and have the customer sign off on it, with a disclaimer that there may be additional repairs required after dissasembly. If they did not give you an estimate before working on your truck, I would say they have poor customer service skills.
The quickest way to lose a customer forever is to not set the expectations for service and price at the beginning of the sale. Learn a lesson from this and don't have any work performed on your vehicle without a written estimate.
