Bumper replacement?

About 4 months ago I hit a deer (it ran away so no dinner for me little bugger).

Anyway. Driver’s side of the bumper cover is dented/scratched and plastic around fog light is missing.

Insurance isn’t worth claiming.

By the time I get a new bumper cover and paint it I’ll be well into $1k.
I’m wondering if an after market bumper is they way to go.

How much work is it installing a new all metal bumper? Is fitting the fog lights a lot of work?

What kind of suspension do you have right now? Aftermarket bumper will require new heavier duty springs and shocks.

If you go with a steel bumper then yes upgrading the suspension would be needed, but they do make aluminium bumpers that only weight 50 to 60 lbs vs 100 to 120 lbs for the steel bumpers and I don't think you would need to upgrade the suspension, but they cost a little bit more.

Be careful, same thing happened to me in 2010 and look what happened, its spiraling out of control...lol.

Any Thoughts on This?

So I managed to bump into a truck's hitch at a stop light the other day. I saw him roll forward and thought he went. I was looking left to make a right turn and rolled right into him. My stock bumper on my 2001 limited is messed up a bit and I'd like to fix it up.
I see this one listed on Amazon, but I'm wondering if anyone has used this or one like it. Looking for some advice.
