Bumpers losing paint - I have never painted this sort of thing.

So I have searched the threads and find plenty of people who have repainted their chrome bumpers. However, I don't have chrome and my bumpers on my '99 Limited are losing their paint.

Example of what I am dealing with

Does anyone know the two following things.

1. Are there any good tutorials on how to repaint this sort of bumper.
2. What kind of paint is recommended for this sort of application? I was looking at Dupli-Color, but is it going to be one which will adhere enough?

This is somewhat new to me, but it is something I think I can do. So if anyone has any suggestions, I would truly appreciate the input.

Me too, my friend. Both my front and rear bumpers are peeling off like mad. I don't really know why, I take fantastic care of my paint but once a little starts to peel on a spot it seems to be quickly downhill from there.

I know what you are saying. The rest of the truck looks awesome, but this is something that is driving me nuts. I really don't want to have to take it in to have it done if I can keep from it.

Dupli color will adhere, what is more important is how you prep the surface. I could write a book, literally. But just search youtube for something on prepping a car for paint. Or just get a professional to do it. I'm partial to that because I was in the paint shop business most of my life. It's not rocket science, but a good job cost time and materials, +labor.
