I got two messages from user "Jackson2" Stating "I think i saw a guy called Matthew posted a 7th injector kit for a 3.4l gray 1st gen unit for sale. Here is his email. iammatwilliams@gmail. He's in Texas.."

He is using pictures from
https://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-...used-supercharger-urd-7th-injector-$2000.html

And emailing them to me saying he has it for sale.

His email signature is:
604 N Church St.
Pilot Point Texas 76258
[email protected]

Watch out, I had a funny feeling about the whole deal and when I googled the email address, he is on other forums too trying to scam people.

Yeah, i had a couple WTB posts up and he responded to like all 4 of them with the same email. I did send an email to him but no response, wanted to mess around.
 
He's also on another forum (for hunting) trying to sell game bags.

My interaction with him did not pass the smell test so I did not get involved.

Glad my spidey sense was dead-on balls accurate this time even if the money involved was not going to make me or break me.

I been messing with him a bit, he even says I can pick up in person if I wanted to in pilot point Texas at his place. Lol, if I was near there I’d be inclined to drive past

Via PayPal. So watch out for that email address too!

Completely different name from his and totally different email address. Follow that spidey sense. 99% of the time it’s right!

I tried to look for a way to signal to admins of a possible scam when he replied to me with similar PM's. I can't figure out how to accomplish this though.
 
This is a common scam. Its a real person doing this, and they want you to send them money but will not send you pictures of the actual part. Their English is decent, but not great.

They create multiple new accounts on here, and do the same thing over and over. They're unable to send you actual pics of the items when you ask for them.

Buyer beware! Always buy from a trusted seller. And always use paypal. ONly use friends/family if you trust the seller (someone with longstanding positive feedback)
 
He almost got me too. He sent some pictures of the actual part but it showed up for sale elsewhere when I did a reverse google search. I was about to send him money when the money sending username sounded fishy. Got another message from Tycoon78 with same thing for sale. Other scam emails from him.

I like to get the seller's or buyer's cell number and text just for more of a personal touch and learn more about them and their rigs, Toyota friendly you never know you might be able to wheel with them in the future.
 
These members still have forum access, can someone tag an Admin so they can be removed? Admin needs to be watching out for these scams as they are becoming more and more prevelant
