Buying 2008 4Runner Urban- Issues I should be aware of?

I am looking at a 2008 4Runner Urban, 49,000 miles from a "boutique dealership". I have the car for the night and am going to take it to get checked out by dealership service department tomorrow. It was purchased in Alabama. Stayed there for 2 years, Nevada 2 years, and Cali 2 years. Is there anything I should ask them to checkout specifically or any issues I should be concerned about?

If it has Xreas check to see if any of them are leaking or worn out. It could be a good price negotiation area.

You didn't state how many miles were on it so it kinda depends on that. They will tell you if it needs anything after they inspect it. Ask them to be on the look out to see if it's been maintained fairly well.

If it is 4x4, make sure it goes in and out of all 4x4 modes smoothly including the center diff lock. I'd also check the sunroof function. Other than that, not too much to worry about besides the usual stuff when buying used.

I bought my 2008 SR5 in 2008 with 10k on it. It has been one of the best vehicles we have owned.

Everything works perfectly. The NAV unit even had the latest update! The only thing I wish was that it did not have XREAS.
