I'm having issues with the cable rubbing on the bottom of the bumper cut out
I recently installed the same bumper. Before I had it powder coated, I smoothed out the lower inside of the winch cable slot. It still looks like it will rub but your question got me to think about it a little more. I think that I'll put some spacers under the winch to create at least a little clearance with the cable passing through the bumper. If you do this, be sure that the longer bolts you use are grade 8 or metric 10.9. I'm using a steel cable so I am using a Warn cast iron hawse. I made tapered spacers so the hawse isn't pointing so extremely downward.

Is this no longer offered? I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger on a front bumper and winch yet but this was one of my finalists, haha!

I see the 2003-05 version but I'm in an 06 and the front details are a bit different.

I'm just seeing this post after many years. Recently my rope broke twice in one outing and the sections that survived were pretty much destroyed by rubbing on the bottom of the cut out.
I'm running a Warn M8000s but use an aftermarket generic billet hawse fairlead as the Warn version is too large to fit in the C4 cut out. When the spool is more than 60-70% full the rope wants to rub especially on side pulls. This greatly weakened my rope leading to failure(s).
I ended up pulling the bumper to clearance and smooth out the opening but the rope still made contact. I ordered another billet fairlead from Amazon and mounted it on the inside of the bumper with longer bolts that through bolt with the front fairlead. The fairleads are pretty low profile so there is plenty of room and now the rope has a smooth surface on the inside and out.
I wonder if others (early 4th gens, 5th gens and Tacomas) have this issue as the bumpers are all very similar. I'm sorry to hear I'm not the only one with this issue but I wonder if others have a fix?
