If I remember correctly, there is no option for welded on step plates any more, right? So the option is either with step plates, or without, correct?

That is correct. If you order step plates, they will always be remove able. Retail price on sliders without step plates is 550.00.

'11 Trail?

I'm as green as they come so please bear with me if these are dumb questions. I see someone signed up with a '12 model SR5. I've got an '11 Trail, would I also be able to jump in on this? I see on your site it says '14+ So wasn't sure if this buy opened up the earlier 5th gens.

Also, are there pictures of the removable step? That doesn't mean the whole slider because it's bolt on right? I'm a little confused on this one, none of the pictures make sense to me when I'm looking for that, but I'm probably just looking wrong too.

Physically the sliders should fit your '11 trail. The only issue we have not resolved for sure is if all of the mounting holes on the frame rail are the same on the pre '14 5th gens. We will be getting one in the shop before the GB closes to check fitment and see if the mounting will be the same.

Sorry the pics are a bit confusing. The pictures that Fargo4x4 posted show our original version of the sliders with the welded on step plates. All of the step plates are now made remove able to make it easier to paint or powder coat. Here are a couple pics of what the sliders look like now with the remove able step plates.
We now use torx, pan head 10-24 self threading screws to hold the step plates on

We could weld the step plates on if you absolutely needed them that way, but to be honest you will always have rust issues coming from under the steps where they connect to the outer tube. Its just impossible to get paint or powder coat to completely cover that area. That is why we switched to the remove able style.

Would you be able to call your powder coating person to see how much they would charge for 2 of the 3 steps you normally do? I would be interested in the sand blasting and the zinc rich primer bath. That would give me a great foundation to apply paint and hopefully combat some rust issues down the road. Thank you!
