I'm not too familiar with that part of the state. But the closest area would probably be down in the Ouachita National Forest. In Hot Springs there is an Off-Road Park. It's pretty decent with a variety of trails. I've been a couple of times and still feel there's plenty I haven't done. I live up in the northwest corner of the state, so most of our wheeling is in the Ozarks, from just south of Fayetteville to north central Arkansas. Anyway, you might start here: Ouachita National Forest - Home

Just got back from the Ouachita's... Great place to hike, camp, 4x4, etc.

Also, Byrd's Adventure Center in Cass, AR is a good place to roll around for a small fee.

yeah I've heard about people riding around the ouachita national forest but still curious on where the trails are

I don't have any marked routes that I frequent. I typically have a list of a few places I want to go hiking and end up on a back road somewhere. In the Ouachita's there are a lot of jeep trails that break off from the Forest Service roads.

I use AllTrails.com to look for places to hike. I use trimbleoutdoors.com to get maps of the forest service roads and topos.

For the last year I've been exploring the White Rock Mountain region.

Here's an example of Trimble maps. BTW - You can download offline maps to your iPad.

1) 1989 1st Gen. Softopper etc. Working on motor swap (from 3.0 to 3.4) 2) Rogers, Ar. 3) Only if I get it running by then ! haha

Josh in Little Rock. Just picked up an '07 Sport this week. I've wheeled with jtderoo a couple of times with the CA-ORC group, back when I had my Xterra.

Anybody there?!

Well dang this thread has been dead for a good while...BUT...KABOOM here I hopefully resurrect it! Hey, I'm Cole and somewhat new to the forums but have had my rig since 2014. Would be nice to know some other T4R guys in Arkansas besides my roommate/teammate and another teammate of mine:cheers:

1) I drive a 2003 Sport that's pretty stock functionality-wise but has some extra goodies installed and in the works. I run 3.5" leveling spacer with 265/70/17s.

2) I go to school in Magnolia (Southern Arkansas) and can possibly do something in NWA or Central AR if things work out as my parents live there. Would be nice to hear back from somebody:help:

3) I'd be down for some meet and greet stuff if anybody on here is even still alive...LOL...maybe a short camp trip or light offroading, maybe even some caravan drives through an area.

Well, HC, I'm Dave and I hope you're still hanging around. I've been lurking for a LOOOONG time and making use of all the brain power available here and Tim's amazing videos. Definitely helped me keep a 20-year-old Runner on the road! :thanks:

1) 2002 SR5, 2WD, 270,000 miles. Basically stock - front brakes upgraded to the TBU setup four years ago, trans cooler going in this Fall. Been my DD for the past 7 years and 105,000 miles.

2) I live in Bella Vista (northwest corner of the state) about 4 miles south of the Missouri state line. Moved here 2 years ago and having a great time checking out old roads and interesting places.

3) Meeting other T4R folks would be great. I'd like to learn more about places to go and explore. Anything that involves beer and bbq is a serious plus!

Another Bella Vista member here... ‘98 limited mostly stock... TBU... wife’s DD...

Guess I missed the recent posts... for some reason I don’t get push notifications from the forum so I miss a lot until I “go looking”

Shoot me a PM if y’all decide to throw something together. Beer and BBQ also enough for me!
