Can anyone recommend a powder coater?

Hey guys,

I called a 1/2 dozen powder coaters in the Nova and MD areas and most ranged from $110 to $160 for a 17 inch or 18 inch rim. Most places can't mount or balance tires and if they can it's an extra $25. I believe Doober Dobbers on craigslist will do it for cheaper but White Plains MD is a hike from Nova.

Any recommendations?

Not that you want to drive all the way down here but, Peninsula Coaters down here in Williamsburg charges $60 or $65 per wheel. I have used them, they are good.

Dang! that is awesome. I've been wanting to powdercoat mine as well, but williamsburg is a pretty far drive. Although to save 50$ per rim that may still come out on top.

I agree, Williamsburg is a hike for powdercoating but thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely keep it in mind if I'm heading down that way any time soon.

I'm going to call around today and try to find someone that will knock some money off if I sand the wheels. I had a deal worked out with one of the guys on Craigslist for $200 for 4 18 inch wheels (Limited) if I sanded them to save him most of the prep work, but now he won't call me back.

BTW there might be some sport rims with stock tires up for sale soon if anyone is interested. :thumb3:
