Can glaze that cause squeaking also cause a pulsating feel in steering wheel while applying brakes in 07 4runner?

My past weekend experiences in my 2007, SR5, V6, 2WD, 4Runner. Purchased 2010 43,000 mi Certified with new pads, rotors turned and new tires. Leaving my Neighbor asked why do your breaks squeak and I replied, “not driving enough (at approx 56,000 mi). During my 32 mi Fwy trip I had some sudden hard breaking and felt shimmying or pulsating in my steering wheel.

Returning home after 64 mi, I found a good size empty parking lot to break quick and hard to stop the squeak. It stopped squeaking plus I did not noticing any pulsating when breaking hard on the freeway this week. Are they related and what should I do along with driving more and breaking harder?

I'd venture you warped your rotors with that hard braking. Scrubbing the brakes will clean them off and eliminate the squeak (provided you're not at the pad warning plate), but shakes won't just go away unless you resurface the rotors...

The easy way to find out is to go over the disk surfaces with a Roloc disk in a high speed drill. Just enough to clean the surfaces good. If you put it back together and still get a shimmy under braking, the rotors may be warped. That being said, true warped rotors are fairly rare. Generally it is inconsistent material buildup on the rotor surfaces that cases varying friction levels, and feels like pulsation at road speeds.
