Can someone help me find some mid-wattage bulbs???

Hey guys. Really simple question here. I can't tell if I'm just being dumb or if my Google-Fu is failing me right now. So I basically need to find 2 bulbs (1 1156A and 1 4157A) that together draw less than 27W total. I can only seem to find crazy high power filament bulbs that draw like 26.5w, or low wattage LEDs that barely draw 3w. I seriously can't find anything in the middle.

If I could find two 11w bulbs, that would be awesome, but I literally cannot find them anywhere. Can anyone help!?

You probably should mention what you need them for so we can answer. The obvious answer would be led's, no need to go all the way to 27W when 6W will suffice.

Yea that would probably help. So long story short is this. I did the 03->06 headlight swap (which I have a guide for in my signature) and part of the problem is the current DRL/Turn signal situation. There are now 4 bulbs needed in the front instead of the factory 2 bulbs. With the factory flasher, the front driver side DRL has a 27w maximum, and the front passenger side has a 27w maximum.

2 normal filament bulbs on one side pull too much current, leading to overheating/overvolting on the flasher, which shuts down the DRLs and causes some blinker issues sometimes. I thought 2 LED bulbs would pull enough to not hyperflash, while still being under the 27w maximum, but they don't. They still hyperflash. I could do 1 LED and 1 filament, but they look strange due to the way they blink.

That's the reason I am looking for normal mid-wattage filament bulbs. I literally cannot find them anywhere.

Use the LED's and add a resistor to the circuit - one wire to + side, the other to - side. No more hyperflash. Most auto parts stores now carry the resistors for around $10.

Yea I figured I could do that, but honestly, I was hoping for a solution that didn't require them. I will use them if I must, but there has got to be an easier way that doesn't require them. How can there not be any normal bulbs?! lol :crybaby:
