Wheelers offroad sells 16" rims that will work. I have a set on my fj 4" backspace. They even clear the allpro offroad spindle gussets. The stock 17" rims won't.

Now I'm gonna have to go out and try them. The site listed 4th gen 4runner and the 2010 and over fj but no 2010 4runner. Did they change calipers on the 4runner 5th gen and not the fj cruiser?

the 4G 4Runner SR5 had smaller brakes and 16"s would fit; Sport and Limited had larger brakes so 17" only (Limited had 18" wheels stock).

all 5G 4Runner trim levels have the larger brakes; 17" and larger wheels only.

Depends on backspacing. With the right backspacing 15" wheels fit too. I have a set of wheels for my rock crawler that are 15x12 with -4" backspacing. I bet they'd fit. Probably handle like crap and they have 39's on them so I don't think they'll physically fit in the wheel wells, but next time I'm doing something with it I'll see if they'll fit.

There might be a 16 out there that would fit, but it would be near impossible find (especially one that is hub centric). I think it could be made.

Well my son in law has my jack so I can't do it today but I'm gonna try my wheels. I have the wheelers 16" with skull rock rings welded on them. I will post up my results.
