Canvasback Cargo Liner

For those of you that have canvasback cargo liners, does stuff slide around in the back a lot?

It really depends on what you have back there, but I'd say the Canvasback material is maybe a bit more slippery than the factory carpet. My dogs certainly slide around on the Canvasback a lot more than they slide on the factory carpet. :)

Cargo Liner color

What color do most of you have? Black or gray? I'm about to order one as a happy birthday to me!

I've had the black liner for nearly 9 months now and think its looks great on the TE interior. I forget that it is there sometimes (except for the Canvasback logo in white).

New Canvasback Liner for 2010 LE

I ordered mine after consulting with Pete at Canvasback, a very helpful fellow. I have installed mine this weekend, fit like a glove. The velcro strips secures the liner extremely well and it does not move/shift. My Limited has the sliding cargo tray with the flip-up (cargo stop) barrier which I have remove. It took all of 5 minutes to remove the 4 nuts (one for each hinge) and I filled the holes with some inexpensive black flat headed plastic plugs I found at Advance Auto. Looks like the factory did it. My one piece floor liner covers the entire cargo area including the narrow hidden compartment (rarely use it). The 3 other smaller pieces fit the back of rear seat sections perfectly. I can slide the cargo tray out by lifting the forward most velcro strip from the flooring liner and folding it over a few inches. We have a rather large puppy (Cane Corso 140 lb) who now loves to ride in the back. We also use an old king size comforter that covers the entire cargo area behind the two front seats to the tailgate, giving her a more comforatble cushioned area for our longer trips. Excellent product, you cannot go wrong. Comes in three colors, I think.

For those that have this liner, how does the Canvass Back work for hauling cargo, like camping gear in the back of the 4Runner? I often fold down my seats to pack my gear etc.

Yeah I figured as much, I still ordered a set, worst case is I put my factory rubber cargo mat on top of the Canvasback

I've had this liner in my runner for just over a year. No complaints. It hasn't moved an inch and has cleaned up well (even grease has come off). Caveat... my dogs do ride in a crate in the truck almost exclusively, so I cannot speak of the sliding factor. But other than that it has held up well with field trials, camping, moving twice, etc.

I searched quite some time to find a suitable cargo liner that would prevent dog hair (I travel with 3 dogs) from getting imbedded in my 4Runner's impractical carpeting in the cargo area.

I finally ordered a custom fit Canvasback Cargo Liner:
Toyota:4Runner<br>2010 With Sliding Cargo Tray

I've just installed the liner and I must say I'm very impressed with both quality and fit .. all D-rings and storage compartments are still accessible and all carpeting is covered with the acrylic canvas waterproof material. Near as I can tell, the liner material is the same as what's being used for boat awnings and bimini tops, probably Sunbrella. The liner is available for 5th gen 4Runners both with and without the sliding cargo tray. Highly recommended!:thumb3:

I also found Kirkland brand quilted pet throws at the local Costco .. they're almost a perfect custom fit for the 4Runner (54" wide x 64" long) and a mere 20 bucks. I bought 2 .. now my pooches can ride in comfort.

Thanks for the recommendation on the liner. I have the dealer brand and the fit and texture leave alot to be desired. Nonetheless to say how the dog feels about it. I've been to their site. Apparently I will need to call-I don't see a slider option available for my TE.

My Canvasback cargo liners arrived today and - wow - I am impressed! The fit is amazing. Gotta love great design. Every panel lays down smooth and feels very secure. Cut outs leave accessories like cargo tie down points, the tiny little storage area, and seat mounts properly exposed, while the carpet stays almost completely covered. It looks fantastic and tight - especially in person.

The folks at Canvasback are thoughtful, too. A little extra for Fido dropped out of the shipping bag while I was unpacking everything.

I ordered mine in black and it looks right at home in my vehicle. The only downside that I see is that there seems to be no 4Runner-specific cargo side pieces or bumper flaps available to protect the non-carpeted cargo areas. Still, I'd absolutely give this product 5 stars. Love it!

Resurrecting this thread! I ordered my canvasback liner from Pete on a Wednesday and had it over the weekend. Everything about my experience was 100% postive and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to everyone. The customer service was not only awesome but so is the product. Installed in 5 minutes(that's a new record for a mod) and the color match to the headliner( a nice side bonus) is perfect. Couple that with the fact that Canvasback is made in the USA, make this mod a no brainer for people with dogs or hauling a ton of gear and who want to preserve the rear cargo area. My lab approved and loved the special treat included with the cargo liner.

Very nice. I'm going to order mine today or tomorrow.

Very Nice. Canvasback and weathertech mats are the first things I purchased. I have used Canvasback since the label was Canvasback of Utah

I just got my CanvasBack and WOW. I spoke with them on the phone and they are top notch on the phone. I can say that I'm so impressed by this company.

If anyone is on the fence, just order them. You'll NOT be let down.

I bought just the rear flap. They put the velcro on the opposite side than with the whole kit, and it sticks to the carpet edge just under the trunk liner. That sure helps keep clothes clean here in Ohio, where the entire back side of the car is coated with salty slush in the winter!
