We've been out to the South Core Banks at Cape Lookout a couple of times. That's the island shown in my avatar pic, where the lighthouse and Cape Lookout itself are located. There's also a North Core Banks accessible by ferry, but the cost is ~$40 more r/t and there doesn't seem to be much there (which can actually be a good thing, right?). Just wondering if anyone has ventured to North Core Banks and what their experience was.
