took a 200 mile round trip to try and get a 99+ cupholer/ center console.. The clerk thought I just was wanting the arm rest when she told me it was in mint condition. Apparently the kid stole his dads 4runner and hit a concrete highway barrier after he had taken a bunch of pills. The clerk said she "heard" that the kid survived but wasnt sure. there was a good amount of blood all over the dash. You can see some on the airbag..

This used to be a Cadillac CTS. Happened near where I live a few years ago. The guy driving committed suicide by hitting a concrete bridge at around 100mph - the car was a rental. I should also mention that the driver was ejected and thrown quite a distance from the vehicle, so I don't believe there was much (if any) cutting done with the jaws of life.

I seem to actually witness a large number of motor vehicle accidents, some of them fatal (e.g. motorcycle accidents and bridge jumper suicides)... this selfish guy should have chosen a taller bridge from which to jump down onto I-635 near the Galleria in Dallas in mid January 2013 because all he did was tie up traffic (although he may have succumbed to his injuries and head wound later that evening the hospital):

How does that even happen?!?

It's BMW... wouldn't be surprised if it just fell apart when driving?

Though a tree or some such object is more likely.

Was that a 1st Gen 4Runner on the first page? How the hell did that one happen?

Man, seeing some of these pictures always gets me to slow down for the next couple of days. Like yeah I think I'd rather be 10 minutes late to work today.

I love COB's description at the top of the thread. Those jerks nearly killed the Firebird thanksgiving week coming back on the 10 west by palm springs. The freeway went from 70 to 0 so fast I had to skid to a stop and go into the shoulder. I know a few other cars had to do the same. And it was all to loom at an accident on the other side of the freeway...

On another note my second gen and I were in a head on with a 80 something chevy truck off road a few years back. Wasn't a big deal though luckily. Wasn't even anyones fault do to a blind corner and a tight road. We only hit each other because the gravel carried us into each other. If it had been on pavement there would've been no collision. Drove away with a minor dent, slightly bent fender, and cracked corner light. The damage was so minimal my parents never found out it happened :D

Serves as a good reminder to be careful when wheeling though and to wear your seat belt even out there. I've also seen a 1st gen bronco eat a corolla out there. Wasn't pretty...

shoot I forgot about this thread. Had to go back in my phone a bit to find a couple:

1. Took me a minute to realize the truck rolled over AND lost its rear axle, which I thought was pretty impressive.

2. This Fedex truck somehow flipped a 180 with a double trailer on a 2 lane highway and ended up in the ditch. That truck driver must be counting his lucky stars. Far more likely to jacknife the trailer right into the cab.

Was a car cruise driving by, and the typical Ford Mustang guy couldn't control his pony and was show boating and rearended a Volvo...minimum damage to the Volvo rear bumper cover and maybe a slightly bent exhaust. . . .the carbon fiber body kit/hood and everything else on the Shelby was done. As well as it looked like the drive shaft had snapped and was hanging underneath. Guy wasn't wearing a seat belt and the windshield was cracked from his head.(was a real winner here with his thought process)

I've seen quite a few over the past few months. This one was the worst. Over-corrected and rolled...traffic was stopped for hours since no one could go around.

Then this happened to my new ride. I hadn't even made the forst payment when a semi came over 2 lanes and into me. It was hit from front bumper all the way to back bumper...at least I got some new wheels out of it!
