It can't be the real wood that some people have glued over the plastic—that stuff is ugly.

Are there any interchange issues between years? I have a 97 limited.

All I know is my limited looks like a pine forest puked all over it and I hate it and I'd be more than willing to swap it all out. I do know it's the factory installed wood grain.

the install looks good and is clean, but carbon fiber wrap is lame IMO. if you want carbon fiber, buy or mold a real carbon fiber piece. CF wrap belongs on rice rockets. just my opinion

I personally do not think carbon fiber looks good in the 4runner, its a lot of bling in a non bling area. I do like carbon fiber though. Aside from paying out the ass for real parts to be made or finding real carbon fiber parts, the best carbon fiber impression I have ever seen is from having the parts hydro dipped, after clear coat they look like real carbon fiber and have the depth.
check it out. only con is you have to send the parts to a facility that does it, you city guys can prolly do it local.

sorry but hydro dipping will never look even remotly close to the real thing. it lacks depth more like it. to anyone doing carbon fiber for a living they can tell you that is the worst comparison, this is what i do in and out every day.
