I've been searching, but not pulling up what I am thinking likely given terminology being similar to breather mods, draining oil, etc.
My goal is to see if there is any reality to adding a static drain line to the cargo area. Seeing others put their rear diff breather near the gas cap area made me think of sticking an external drain line that could be screwed into my Yeti's drain plug for when I need to drain but don't want to move the whole cooler out. I realize those times are generally few and far between, but when carrying a fully loaded 65 or 105 those suckers are too cumbersome to constantly move around. I would also potentially add a valve to which I can drain some and then stop the flow back at the cooler if I need to.
Am I crazy? Has anyone tried this?
Also, I know that you want to keep cold water in with ice as it keeps things colder longer, etc, etc. This ain't my first rodeo with using a cooler, just looking for ways to make having one that is "stationary" for a trip (such as a long hunting trip where I just need it to stay put and drain water as I refill with ice/etc, or hauling cold things back and forth) be a little more friendly.
