Was wondering if anyone had any pics of their cargo area layout. I would like some organization back there for things like tow strap, spare tire,hi lift, fire extinguisher, and what ever else is thrown back there. So let me see what you got, Thanks Guys :hatsoff:

I made a cargo box to keep everything together and still have plenty of space in the middle for the big things. I have a write up on it on my build thread if your interested.

Here's mine. The whole thing can be removed by one person in just a few minutes without any tools.

I made it low profile so I could still fit the dog crate on top.

It has two drawers for recovery stuff & tools. It also has a space for the hi-lift jack. A small compressor fits in the side wing area.

Modified the door on the side storage area to be more accessable too.

I've since added a side wing to the driver's side as well. Sorry no pics of that.

It seems a lot of guys building storage boxes put them on the passenger side blocking off the factory storage bin in the side panel, what's the reasoning behind this? Seems silly, 2 steps forward, one step back kind of thing.

4ever4running, that looks like a nicely sorted rear hatch area, I like it!

Banditrunner, that's a nicely executed solution, looks clean, highly functional, and appears to be well thought out, I like it!

If you look closer, you can see most of us don't actually cover that spot up, we incorporate it into the box.. Its really just expanding that existing cargo spot.

You're right, I wasn't looking closely enough! That makes far more sense.

Do you have any build specs? Im interested in something like this.

I don't have any off-hand but I will take some measurements and post them up when I get off work.

Thanks! I definitely try to keep my truck clean and organized. One of my biggest pet peeves is not being able to find something when I need it.
