Caster Measurement?

Hey everyone! Does anybody know a way to measure caster without special gauges? Using a level? I have one of those magnetic levels with a gauge and degrees on it which I can measure camber with. Also how do I adjust it? I know that I'm suppose to use the cam bolts on the lower control arms but not sure which one adjusts camber or caster and which way to get a + or -.
I know some of you will say just take it to an alignment shop and be done with it. I will do that tomorrow morning. I just want to know how to do this myself just because I want to know and I hope some of you will understand me.

I installed my 3" Boss lift yesterday with LR UCAs. I had to loosen the LCA cam bolts to get the struts in and didn't take a note which way they were before (if that even matters). I have set the UCA ball joint at the D setting but my camber is still way off and not even sure about the caster. I took it in for alignment today and the guy said he didn't have time to deal with all this shit and told me to come back in the morning. I think he just didn't want to deal with it and he didn't even want to look at the instruction sheet that came with the UCAs. He was giving me the "you want to give ME an instruction sheet?" atitude. Anyway I'm coming back there tomorrow and not sure if he's gonna give me the same attitude.

You really need to take it to a shop. Try to find a shop with modern equipment (camera system - flashing red lights with "targets" on the wheels with shapes- triangles or circles. I would also find another alignment shop. That guy sounds very unprofessional. You want between 2.3 to 3.7 degrees caster (more the better) with maybe a little less caster (but not more than .5 degrees) on the driver's side to account for road crown and 0 to -.2 degrees camber both sides with toe straight +-.1 degrees both sides These specs should be easy to acquire with the adjustable UCA, and all your cams functional.
The 4 cams work in unison to set the camber and caster. But after you change those angles the toe is greatly affected. I did my lift a few weeks ago and I immediately noticed the positive camber (top of the tire leaning in towards the engine) There's a chart in the FSM on page 1178 that shows how the eccentrics change the angles. That's interesting to look at to see how the cams work. Of course you have LR UCA's which is a game changer as it adds a third adjustment point.
