Hitch. Run coax under seats.

Velcro to side.

Run a ext speaker like this

Im telling you this is awesome. Low SWR and easy. Screw all that drilling and wireing nonsence. You will be up and running in minutes. I get out about 10-15 miles.

I think most people want to screw things and hide wires for a finished look. That said, as long as it is working than do what you do if you like it like that.

I just ran a 20' coax cable from under my cup holders (just to have it in place for my future Cobra 75 wx), all the way along the drivers side floor, up above the wheel hump, and I have it coiled up behind the tail light ready to be hooked up to a 3' Firestik antenna.

That setup also isn't permanent, but I think my method has a much better fit and finish. The antenna mount I'm going to use is the Comet RS720.

I dislike mag mounts, but to each their own I guess (and maybe some rust on the roof when little wil scratches it)

Well I guess the amount of effort one puts in on his work shows. To be completely honest it is pretty bad install. I don't know if I can even can this an install, it's no different than some plugging in their GPS.

I think his point was more that if you really needed to install it to just get the damn thing to work, rather than getting points for doing a cean job.

Exactly, if you are one that wheels three times a year...and never use your cb other than those times...this is EXACTLY what you need. However if you are going to use your cb everyday and want a more permanent solution, than take the time to run the wires to make it "pretty". So, it just depends on what your needs are.

Right. Clean is awesome. But my point is that, it really isn't that unkempt.

Plus, for what ever reason, I get great reception, SWR and it really does not look that sloppy.

Man, I do wish I was much tallented and understood what some of you all do with the cool mods you do.

My motto is that anyone can tear down a buidling, but go try to build one.

My post is more for the amature. My set-up is easy and having a CB is fun.

It also worked well in my Saab 97x. It really isn't a big project.

We've done the mag mount in my dads subaru for some road trips when I was a kid. Mag mount SWR is really good in most cases, I just don't like the RC car vibe it gives off haha.

I was a little harsh, so I'm sorry for that. To each their own.
