CBI Aluminum Front Bumper Lead Times - help!

So I am a very impatient person! I will just start this post off with that..

Also though, I am going on a trip in 2 months and really wanted a front bumper for it. I should have planned ahead but didnt have the extra funds. Fast forward to last week, someone ran into my 4Runner and now I am getting a front bumper out of it.

Is there ANYONE who stocks these or at least has some on order already that would cut down on the current 15 week lead time? I am ready to pull the trigger but want to see what my options are. It appears any site selling them that isnt CBI, is just drop shipping so the lead times are the same.

I am looking for the front bumper, in bare aluminum, with the low center hoop option.

Also if someone wants to sell me one they already have..I will give you money :whip2:

Reach out to Chris Hefty at Hefty Fabworks. He makes much better Aluminum bumpers than CBI does... He might be able to help you out with that quick turnaround too.

That has crossed my mind for sure. I was torn between the 2, but CBI being a few hundred dollars less and the ability to use the OEM fogs won me over. I already have the XB projector fog lights, so that would prevent me from having to buy more lights.

I will reach out though and see what he has to say. He was very willing to work with me when I had my FJ, but I sold it before we could make it happen. I am also always looking for an excuse to drive to CO, so I could even pick it up cheaper than paying for shipping.

I have not called but have emailed back and forth quite a few times. No options were given to me to expedite, or to save a few bucks. Other vendors that sell their bumpers are much more willing to work with me though in that regard, and offer cheaper shipping. So I dont think I would order directly through CBI if I choose their bumper.

They are 16 weeks out, and it is what it is. Very nice people but I was told no one hates their lead times more than they do. It's a quality product so I am not mad at that. He did not offer me a solution to my XB fogs. I am not sure I talked to Chris but just had a good conversation with someone from there.

So I am back to where I started. Looks like both have the same lead times and I am SOL. December/January in Kansas sounds like a great time to paint and install a bumper

Ill say this. His Powder Coat is second to none. Stupid stupid strong stuff.
