CBI rear bumper without tire carrier

Any one running this, it's hard to find pics of this setup that include the spare mounted underneath. Was thinking if the bumper doesn't hang down as low how will the spare tire and exhaust look? Any pics or first hand experience would be great, thanks.

Looks fine but if you stuff a larger spare under there it will show more. You also need stiffer springs for sure, I swapped out my SAW for the Toytec Superflex HD after the bumper. I have various pics in my build thread, link in sig.

You can kind of see the exhaust here. Don't mind the cut, I had a different aftermarket bumper before, so the cut was made for that one.

The muffler is pretty close, it actually is tight to the round support bar underneath the corner of the bumper. Do I lose some departure angle? Maybe...its possible the exhaust tip could scrape or get crushed.

I can't fit my 33" spare in there , but part of that is because my sway bar is in the way. I may go down to a 31" spare. I know I know its not a full size spare, but it just needs to be able to get me out, or a few miles if I"m around town.

Runner looks great! What rear bumper did you have before the CBI? I am having heftyfabs aluminum front & rear (no tire carrier) being made. Interested to see how it turns out. Did you have the hefty rear as well before?

Yep, I had the Hefty aluminum rear with tire carrier. The bumper cover corner trim is not that bad...it just looks like I messed up and cut too much off. However when it flexes off road, there's no chance I'll twist enough for the bumper to hit the rear quarter panel!!

Thanks for the input guys, I am thinking I'm going to pull the trigger. I just hate buying stuff like this without ever seeing it in person. I have OME medium duty springs front and rear so hopefully they will handle the weight of the bumper well. I'm also going to keep the factory spare, I think it will be good enough. Besides the extra weight of the tire carrier I just don't think it's completely necessary for my needs. I really just want the extra protection so I don't damage my stock bumper any more then I already have. Also, thinking I should re route tail pipe because that always seems to scrape.
