Center console elbow room - 2022

Have been studying the 4Runner for a new car purchase and finally found a new 2022 SR5 at the local dealership that I could sit in and examine the interior. One issue that stuck out for me is that the center console to the right of the driver seat was pressing against my elbow and forearm a little. The height of the center console immediately to the right was also higher than would be comfortable for me to rest my right elbow on it while driving. This model had the cloth seats.

Does anyone know if any of the other 4Runner models have a different configuration for the center console that might not impede on the elbow room? (I am hoping to get into a TRD Off-Road model.)

Disclaimer: I am not tall at 5'7" but a little wide at 200 pounds+.

I don't think there are any differences between the models, but as you've got a lot of headroom did you try raising the seat? that will adjust the angle of your arms into the console

Maybe you should go sit in a couple of Explorers or Cherokees and decide if you want an "SUV" or an SUV.

If adjusting the seat doesn't work there's always seat jackers that will raise your front seat a bit more if the built in doesn't do it.

First thing I noticed when examining a 5th gen was the driver's door panel and how high it was for an elbow, I'm a big guy with long arms but I got used to it quickly. I've not had any issues with the center console, but I know that there are pads you can get to raise it. All interior trims are the same design unfortunately
