Change out stock 6-spoke 15" steel wheels for stock aluminum 16"?

Hi all,

I'm a noobie here and have tried to find an answer to this question using the search function, but no luck so far... plenty of folks seem to want to switch from 16 to 15, but I personally like the look of the aluminum rims better than the 6-spoke steel ones that are on my 2000 SR5...

Any thoughts on if I can just yank the old ones off and throw the 16 inchers on there, and/or pro's and con's regarding the ride associated with each?

I am going to be hauling the fam around for the most part, and not doing much off-roading for the time being... so mostly highway and some occasional dirt road driving.

Actually not many people go from 16s to 15s because usually the smaller wheels won't clear the brakes that come with 16s. But for what you want to do, 15 to 16 will work fine.
