I have a 06 v6 and I just replaced my tires and went up in size from a 265/65/17 to a 265/70/17 and the very next day the check engine light along with all the traction control lights where on. I have not brought it in to toyota yet but I am going to try to get in next week. Could all of this be related to the new tires or just bad timing.

It could be a loose or bad gas cap. Search the 4th gen section on this. It could be that they damaged a sensor for the abs sensor on one of the brakes behind the wheel when they changed the tires but unlikely.

Definitely get the code checked by Autozone, PepBoys or one of the parts stores. They will pull them free of charge. Then come back and let us know which codes they were. The VSC and TRAC lights always come on with the CEL on these trucks. It is a Toyota thing. Once the code that is causing the CEL is cleared, the VSC and TRAC lights will also go off.
I forgot to add---the CEL has nothing to do with getting new tires. Like you said, just bad timing or coincidence.

OK I took it in and got it checked out and it indicated that there was air getting into the fuel system so I checked the gas cap again. Come to find out that you need to run a 1/3 to 1/2 a tank of gas before the the the system will run the check again. When I got in to drive home from work the light was off so it was the gas cap after all. Thanks for the help guys!
