Choppy Acceleration

I have a 2001 Toyota 4runner 4x4 3.4. I bought it about a month a ago, it has a Injen fuel intake set up. When i drive the runner it runs great, but every once and awhile I will press on the gas and try to move and it will slowly creep and then accelerate really quick. When idling right at the air filter it sounds as if its trying to get more air, like a wheezing sound. I checked for codes and there is nothing. I cleaned the Mass Air Flow sensor and the throttle body. If you can help that would be great.

It sounds like your fuel filter could be a little clogged up. Try replacing that first. Its a very simple job, just loosen the two jam nuts, pull the filter out, replace with new filter, and then retighten the jam nuts. That might fix your issue.

Ya, I took the filter off to see if it changed and it did not still whining, then I placed my palm at the end of the intake tube to see if it might change with me closing it off, and the truck stalled.
