Reviving an ancient one here.

How did you guys route the cord through the hatch to the roof rack? Any issues with the plug on the roof? I was figuring on wrapping the cord plug between the extension and strand in a ziploc and tape.

Here’s a pic of my setup. I ran the wire through the little channel and secured it with electrical tape and then tucked it into the weather stripping. Assuming your cord is thin enough it won’t pinch or catch on anything, there’s more than enough space.

Similar way I did mine. Just ran it through the hatch against the weather stripping. No issues or leaks.
